WHAT TO WEAR?
What NOT to wear: Please avoid wearing perfume, cologne or scented lotions to your consultation, photo session, or any other appointment with us. We have severe allergies to chemicals. Thank you!!!!

MATERNITY
Less is more with maternity photos. We have a lovely variety of wraps for your use. If you have a special outfit, feel free to bring it along. If you plan on being photographed in our sheer wraps, please wear flesh colored panties to avoid panty lines. Prior to your photo session, avoid wearing clothing that will leave those elastic marks!

BABY
Although it is tempting to bring your baby in a sweet little outfit, realize you’ll be covering those adorable rolls and pudgy toes! Less is more when photographing babies (especially newborns to about 4 months). We recommend diapers or even better a plain (non-patterned) diaper cover, this places all the emphasis on the cute “pudgy tummy” or sweet face! Once your baby is sitting up, we’ll then begin to include those special outfits along with the diaper poses. We’ll use mom/dad as a “prop” in many of the photos (this keeps baby happy) so come prepared to be included (even if it is only partially) in the photograph.

MOMS & DADS
If you’re planning on special photos with your baby, we like to see you in dark colors. Wearing a dark blouse, t-shirt, or tank top will place all the focus on the love between you and your precious baby!

CHILDREN
Ask yourself, what sort of feeling do I want to convey in this portrait? Casual, formal, playful? The only clothes I suggest avoiding are logos, stripes, plaids and loud patterned clothing as these detract from the emotional appeal of a photo. Subdued colors such as brown, black, blue, and green is wonderful. Bright colors and pastels are fine too. Wearing jeans, slacks and khakis are ideal. To summarize, think color HARMONY.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORSLet’s make this fun, so bring your favorite bright tank top and funky jeans. If you bring an assortment of outfits, we can portray you in different moods and still make grandma smile! Don’t forget those sunglasses, hats, accessories, formals, capes, hooded coats, scarves, ball caps, anything that says you with style.
